Make Your Wedding Theme Shine with Proper Wedding Invitations

One of the first things a couple should do when planning a wedding is to choose a theme. This includes size, formality and colors that are to be incorporated. The wedding theme should be evident in all aspects of the wedding from the wedding dress to the flowers to the venue to the catering. However, many couples forget to incorporate the theme into their wedding invitations. Picking invitations, in general, can be a tedious experience; having them fit your theme, however, can make the entire process easier, narrowing choices and ensuring the invitees are aware of the theme in general. This is where Cindy Witkow Designs can help.

Once your theme is chosen, you can begin searching through the site to find an invitation that fits your theme and Cindy Witkow Designs will be there for you through each step in the process. Colors that coordinate with the theme should be incorporated. Look at the font colors, envelope liner colors and any embossed images that are present to make sure it fits well into your theme.

The font, paper type and wording of the invitation should also match the theme, especially the formality of the wedding. If you are having a formal wedding, make sure you have fine paper stock as opposed to a budget, heavier stock. A formal wedding invitation should include traditional, formal wording on the invitation as well as script or other appropriate font styles. However, if you are having an informal wedding, you can choose a heavier stock, block lettering and less formal wording. Cindy Witkow Designs offers solid ink which creates raised printing, therefore making it look richer and more elegant.

While looking through samples it is best to choose a few different invitation styles in the event your first choice is unavailable. Budget is always a consideration, so if you have a few samples on your short list that coordinates with your theme, you can then look more closely at price and choose the one that is less expensive. Alternately, you can discuss your first choice and budget with Cindy Witkow Designs and they can help bring the two closer together.

While finalizing the design for your invitations, you will want to decide what to include in the invitation and try to make that fit your theme. Make sure you look at the proof of the invitation prior to accepting it. This way you will ensure the colors, formality and wording are all correct and that there are no inaccuracies or typos. A successful wedding invitation tells the recipient what the theme for the wedding will be, without having to tell them in writing. It also helps make the process of finding the perfect wedding invitation easier. If you have any questions or need help, Cindy Witkow Designs will be there to help you through all the steps in the process to ensure your wedding theme comes through in your invitations.

How Custom Invitations Can be a Major Benefit to Your Event or Party!

Most of us give a lot of thought to our party decorations and food. We hope everyone will have a good time and we give some consideration to music and maybe even games, depending on the party. It's also important to remember the first step to a good party is a great invitation. To really get your party started early, have custom invitations made. These can easily and naturally capture the theme of your party.

Custom invitations can quickly convey the theme of your party, but that's not all. They can also give your guests another reason to attend. While a standard store-bought invitation will hardly excite your invited guests, a custom invitation will do just the opposite - people will get a better sense of what kind of party you are having when your invitations are so dynamic.

Taking advantage of the invitations like those available at Cindy Witkow Designs is worth the effort. These custom invitations offer advantages that store-bought invitations cannot. Consider:

  • Thematic advantage - A store-bought invitation likely will not clearly convey that the 40th birthday party for Paul is luau themed because he was born in Hawaii, but a custom invitation can. A stock invitation might not be able to capture how important the 5th birthday party for Julia is, but a custom invitation can.

  • Originality - A custom invitation can add to the theme by being unique. That is, anyone can write the basic information on a stock card, but a custom invitation lets you say as much or as little as you want on a unique and customized card.

  • Setting the stage - Sometimes less is more. Most of the invitations at Cindy Witkow Designs are designed so you will have a good sense of the theme and formal or casual nature of the event. You might not need to say that Josie's party is a baking party. When the background is a chocolate chip cookie it is clear.

  • Green it up - Custom can sometimes mean fully custom, in every sense of the word. When you buy custom invitations from Cindy Witkow Designs, for example, you are buying a product that's eco-friendly and that you can feel good about distributing. The ink is solid ink which uses 90% less waste. All the custom invitations and other items are printed on recycled paper.

Why settle for common when you can instead get people excited about your party with customized invitations? It makes no sense to pay solid attention to the finer details of your party and not consider how to make the invitation stand out. A custom invitation is the best way to incite that interest among your party guests.

Green is Good

More and more companies are turning to green technologies to keep their products friendly to the earth while maintaining a high standard of quality. But Cindy Witkow Designs has always taken to heart the concept that "Green is Good."

Cindy Witkow's designs are personal and unique, but what's also interesting about them is the emphasis on using green components to make the products green with a capital G.

In the end, Witkow describes it best. "We aren't compromising our earth and environment to make stationery and we aren't compromising our stationery to save the environment and earth," she said.

Witkow uses recycled paper for her products and 100% recycled envelopes, but the paper is strong and smooth, unlike some recycled paper which feels odd and which doesn't take well to printing. The envelopes are 80lb weight, which means they are of extremely high quality. The white and ivory papers are 80lb cover weight, giving them a very heavyweight feel. They are both available in smooth and textured finish.

Since Witkow gives emphasis to green elements within her business, she's proud to offer 100% recycled paper; her customers can help complete the triangle by encouraging people to recycle their invitations and other Witkow products.

In addition to recycled paper, Cindy Witkow Designs uses "solid ink" for all printing needs. The solid ink is manufactured by Xerox and makes use of sticks of non-toxic ink rather than toner or inkjet cartridges. The color is vibrant and long lasting, but with far less impact on the environment. The solid ink produces 90 percent less waste than that produced by a typical laser printer.

What's even better about the solid ink is that it produces a slightly raised appearance, which lends an elegant and high-end look to the finished printed designs.

While customers might not consider they can get stationery products that are friendly to the environment, Cindy Witkow Designs proves that you can do just that - enjoy beautiful stationery that's personalized and unique, but that leaves no negative environmental impact.

While being green is important, Cindy Witkow Designs hardly ignores the product. The line of available products includes party invitations, announcements, fold over stationery, gift labels, holiday cards and note cards. All are personalized and can be even further personalized with a picture or other image supplied by the customer.

Witkow customers enjoy knowing that they are creating a personalized product that suits their needs, interests and target audience, while also doing something good for the environment.
